PLASMA BANK APPLICATION

The entire world is struggling to get over with the Covid-19 pandemic. Thousands of people are loosing their lives daily, while lakhs of other people are able to recover hopefully. Thus, in order to decrease the death rate, it becomes extremely important to help those who are in need of it on urgent basis. Therefore I along with my teammates Anam Aquil and A SE Varsha have come up with an Android Application which helps to bridge the gap between the donors and the recipients.

PROBLEMS SOLVED: It takes a lot of time and efforts to maintain the records of patients manually. Thus our application reduces the time complexity and help patients come out with their requests more easily and with convenience at their end. The app helps save millions of precious lives who’re suffering during the Covid-19 pandemic.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

1. Providing a simple application for plasma management.

2. To ensure security of info given by the user.

3.Make the system very easy to use — users would agree that minimal to no training is needed.

4.To ensure accessibility of the app at times of emergency.

WORKING OF THE APPLICATION (overall layout of the system) : The Splash screen contains the logo of the app. Following it comes the Login/Register screens where the user has to enter his/her basic required details. If the person already has a pre existing account, then he/she can simply Sign in. Then after, the Home page includes feature where the users can enter their location and see for the relevant people around them and contact them accordingly. The Request Screen after it gives patients the chance to write heartwarming message so that donors help them to the earliest. They can even upload pictures. Lastly, the Search Page allows the recipients to search for people manually. The Search Results is the final screen which displays for the donors nearby.

The important screenshots have already been shared. Here is the block diagram of the overall application for better understanding.

SOFTWARE USED: The application has been created on Android Studio. The language used is Java. Database has been created on webhost and SQL has been used for php scripts. The layouts have been designed on Figma. Kinemaster and Filmaura have been used for video editing.

CONCLUSION AND REMAINING WORK: We created a prototype of a mobile application based UI for project .There are a few minor functions implemented, and basic UI setup, but a good deal of work will be required to connect the databases properly and the code to run successfully so that the users can use the app and the required result is given. Currently the project is at the finishing stage. Use of Android Studio which is in the programming language java. It could be further improved if we get sponsorship and some guidance to make certain changes to make it even better.
